Davis Math Department Ranks 4th in 2007 Faculty Scholarly Productivity Index

The Chronicle of Higher Education started publishing the Faculty Scholarly Productivity Index (FSPI), updated annually by the Academic Analytics, a company founded by a former methodologist of the National Research Council ratings. The FSPI is based on research articles and books published, citations received, and honors and grants awarded. Our Math Department ranked 6th in the 2006 FSPI and 4th in 2007. The first three are Princeton University, UC San Diego, and New York University. UC Irvine and UC Berkeley Math Departments are 6th and 8th respectively.

According to the Chronicle website, UC Davis ranked 41st as an institution and the top 5 institutions are Harvard, Caltech, UCSF, MIT, and Yale. More information can be found at FSPI .
